Ok installed transgo shift kit in my 3.0 Ranger yesterday seemed to be working great.Drive to work this morning was just fine (about 30 miles). Drive Home from work :O not so fine. Limp Mode other wise know as the flashing O/D light. I know this has been posted about 75 times on these forums but does anyone have a clue as to why? I also called Transgo tech support. What jerks some rude old man starts insulting me saying "well you should not even be able to buy this kit, it is for pro tranny men". I was wtf are you talking about my 5 year old could install this kit. And he said "well just pull the codes and go from there probly just a lose wire". and that was the end of our conversation. So any tips would be helpful in trouble shooting this problem. I know it is very common and disconecting the battery will buy you some limited time. Thank you!
P.S. Who makes a good code searcher that is not in the 2000 dollar range. If I wanted to pay 2000 dollars to work on my tranny I would just pay someone else :/
One more thing will a aftermarket chip or computer help these problems. I am also running Mercon V which I hear is good for the little tranny.
