front end oil leak
Two things in that area if I rember correctly. Either crankshaft seal which is pressed into the timing chain cover, or the oil pan gasket.
I have a '93 3.0 shorty, don't know if they made any changes between the years.
Oil pan gasket is a pain in the a*s, but doable. Timing chain cover has to come off to replace the seal. Basically all brackets, belts, pulleys etc. need to be removed on front of engine to remove timing chain cover.
Both can be done at home. Be prepared to do a little grunting and cussing....
Before you start, make absolutely certain that is where the problem lies.

My post may have sounded a bit "dire".... To make either fix is not extremely difficult. Just time consuming. There are tons of threads on this board concerning both areas I posted about. Both are something the average mechanically inclined owner can do.
Although, I rate both jobs high on the "Samuel Adams required" scale
Good luck and happy wrenchin'!
