Tools for gear change
I am going to change gears in my truck 1978 Ford F250 and I am needing to know what are all the special tools I will need to do this job and also if anyone has good place to buy these tools Thanks

Dial indicator, feeler gauges, torque wrench, and then the common tools like wrenches, sockets, breaker bars. If you can find a magnetic base for the dial indicator that is reasonable then that is the way to go. They are kinda pricey though. All my tools are from Sears or out of the Craftsman catalog. I've had my dial indicator for years and never had a problem with it. I would suggest that if you are not going to be using a dial indicator on a regular basis then just rent one with a base. That will save you quite a bit right there. Hope this helps.
