wiring

hi
i've been checking out this forum and it has helped me a lot.what i have is a 1993 4liter that has a cut wire in the main harnis under the hood.its one of the wires that have the sheilding around it.i will have to open up the wiring some more to be sure of the colour but i think its the pink one is cut(all the way?) in the evtm its for the ignition under spout.if its cut how is the van running?can i check it with an meter at the pcm and ing.module?
thanks a lot you guys are great

p.s. one thing i did that made the van run smother was to clean the slots on the crank were the ing pick-up is some of the slots were covered over with gunk.

Could I ask which main harness that is? (Sorry!) I also have wiring problems. Do you mean a coaxial wire, or a wire in that black fall-off plastic?

its the main harness just above the brake res/booster that runs along the top of the cowl.it starts at the ecm/another plug and goes along the top to the ign.module. mine has been cut open,i think it had the black plastic but is taped now.there are some wires in side that are wraped in a foil, one of them is cut.so i would like to know if its normal wire and what kind of foil it is? one thing i know is that youhave to know if its a 3or 4 liter becouse its different.
what is you trouble,i got a elect manual off e-bay at a good price.
thanks slash
