Tracking an ordered vehicle?
Is there a way to find out the build date and est. delivery date of my truck? It'd sure be nice to know rather than wait for the dealership to call me when it gets there. Thanks

Easy - Call <!-- 800-962-3746 --> and follow the prompts for automated voice recognition
Say very distinctly the following:
Dealer five digit number as in 1-2-3-4-5
Year of order 2-0-0-4
Order numer as 1=2=3=4
Body type as in X20
Don't try to use an assigned VIN - the computer is unlikely to understand all the letters.
Most important is that you must speak slowly and very distinctly. If any of your information is incorrect you get a "incorrect prompt".

Does the truck have to be in production for this to work? I have all the information, but it says it doesn't recognize the information. It's been almost 2 weeks since the order went thru, how long should it take before I can start tracking it?

You should be able to get the information now. I was able to get mine in about a week. It's extremely important that all your input information is exactly correct or the computer will give this default. I had the same prolbem and was off one digit on my Vehicle Order Confirmation (VOC) that the dealer faxed to me. The faxed copy had blurred the order number where it looked like a "zero" instead of "8"
You atleast should have a build date. I ordered on April 06, build date was April 27 and the vehicle was delivered to the dealer May 05 and I picked it ujp today.
Call the person at the dealership that responsible for inventory and order control and confirm all the information you need.

Once you get a build date should that date change? I called last week it said week of June 28th. This week it gave a build date of June 21. At that rate I should have the truck by the end of this week. LOL
