question on a '67 grill
OK, I have a painted 67 grill on my truck. I tried sticking a magnet to it and it stuck. There for it is a steel grill, right? Short of repainting and dipping into chrome, is there a way to shine up the steel so that it looks good, without rusting? Also, it is painted black. Could that be factory, I thought they were only painted ivory?. Once again (for the millionth time) thanks for all the help!

I had a stainless grill on my '67 a few years back, it had previously been painted black and was chipping badly. I removed all the paint with SOS pads and water. It looks pretty decent after that. I suppose then it could be repainted or chromed after that.
