i have a flip chip, and i love the fact i can shift on the fly. i can drive around in the stock mode and then if i pull to a light next to to a duracrap i can click up to a +120 hp tune...by by
Why bother with a programmer at all if you only want one setting? I'm not sure if they're still around, but you used to be able to get a 60hp superchip or a 54hp diablo single program chip for well under $300.
Since the webmaster of this site deals both Superchips and Diablo, maybe you should pop down to the computer chips and tuners forum and ask about them.
Cookie is right if u only use one setting go with a custom chip. I however have the predator and I love it. I use the tow/perf setting most of the time and then either the high alt or the tow setting when pulling my toyhauler. I like the option of the different settings and the ability to put the stock tune back in too! I plan on keeping this truck long enough to give it to my son at some point and he will not need the added horse power etc.
the reason i was lookin at the tuners over the chips was to have the obd2 code reader, also the predator has on the fly diagnistics and the diesel specific codes also. i bet i would still like to have some fun with it especially next to a dookiemax

Thats a good reason. Sounds like you've already decided on the predator. Perhaps you should start a thread asking about it specifically to get more replies.

So long as you have the hot tune in before you leave the house. You can't just swap programs on the fly with a tuner.
