Unhappy 351m Kocking/clicking

I Had A Bad 2 Barrel Car. And Changed To A Edelbrock Performer Manifold And Carb. And Now I Have A Knocking Like A Rod Or Cracked Piston And Also Have A Clicking Noise Like The Pvc Valve Is Opening And Closeing Real Fast But Have Took It Out And Still Have This Noise.this Only Sounds Like This When I Mash Onthe Acc. Pedal

did you remove or disable the EGR? any chance a piece of hardware went into an intake port?

probaly a bad conecting rod bearing. I don't think the intake and carb are the problem.

Did your old manifold and carb setup have the egr installed with it? If so your ignition timing may be off and you may have even hooked your vac advance into full time instead of ported vacuume. If thats the case check your timing and see it just might be the cause. I had a van that I did that too and i had an exhaust leak to go along with it. Made it sound terrible until I turned the timing down a little and hooked the vac advance into ported. And changed my man. gaskets

My 79 has a click like noise all so thining it's a header leak. The egr was plugged when I got it could this allso casue it.
