I am looking for the audiofile sub enclosure for a supercrew. Is any one willing to sell one or has some one come up with a better solution for a sub without cutting the truck??
Thank the response! I have also seen that box around but on of the install guys told me it would not sound good. Blue 2004 FX how much power are you pushing to those two tens and where did you mount the amp.
ProBox may not yet have their 2004 F150 box up on the site yet, but it's really nice. It's a ported box tuned to 45Hz and sounds real nice w/ one 10. I can send you a picture of it if you'd like.
I also am curious about the box from musicmooseaudio.com...Are you guys all removing the jack to get your box and/or amp to fit? I used to run around in a 5.0 mustang with no jack or spare, and never had to deal with it, but I would hate to be stuck somewhere just to have speakers in my back seat. Maybe that box fits around the jack but doesn't look like it. I'm still trying to decide how to do my SCab, so the input is very helpful!! Thanks.
Yes the spare tire jack must be removed. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're driving around with no jack. Most people are probably leaving them in front of the back seat, putting in the bed, or I even saw someone on another forum who mounted it under the hood.
I keep my spare tire jack in a waterproof Pelican box in the truck bed just to have more room in my back seat. Between the stock Audiophile sub box and the jack there's pretty much no room in the back seat even if you flip them up.
I think it sounds good for the space it takes. I was not willing to lose my back seat. I mounted the amp under the passenger seat. I have bazooka subs and a 600 watt amp. Also an Alpine deck, will post pics today of the box.
I too will be replacing my audiophile setup - but I have to wait. I'm holding out for JL Audio to release a Stealthbox for the new F-150.
I recieved a reply from them this morning:
Yes, we're working on new Stealthbox models for the 04 F150. The first ones to be completed will be the SuperCrew and SuperCab models, which will fit under the back seat on the driver's side. At the present time these prototypes have a single 10W3V2 in a downfiring ported enclosure. This will leave enough space under the passenger rear seat for amplifiers and processors. Can't give you an availability date since they're not yet approved for production. But you might check with me in another 30 days or so. Good luck, and thanks for your interest in Stealthbox!
