I would like to know any info you can give me on Stan's Headers.
Install problems?
Workmanship?
Longevity?
Sound?
Ceramic coating worth it?
Anyone have the Stainless?
Are there any compareable headers for less money?
\Any help you guys can give me before I put out the $$ will be a great help. Thanks in advance.
I've got a set of Stan's 244YL-14 headers on my high-boy, and they are the best I've had out of four different ones now. Fit was excellent, tho one motor mount tower bolt had to be shortened, and I haven't had a trace of a leak since, in contrast to the DynoMax, Hedman, and Sandersons that I had tried before. I now regret not getting the ceramic coating, but after getting burned a little on the Sandersons with ceramic, I was reluctant to put up the extra bucks for something before I was sure how good the base product was. Anyway, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be happy with Stan's.

I've used lots of headers over the years, and Stans are the first ones I've been 100% impressed with. Top notch and far better than any others. Ceramic coating is the way to go. Didn't we determine that Stan makes them for FPA a month or so ago?

DId we? I remember I asked if they were the same, since the guy I dealt with at FPA is named Stan! But, I thought somebody had refuted the notion that they were indeed the same.
I never checked with them but it has the same part number and is identical. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck... guess what? Either way that is one of the best headers out there from what I have seen. They will be hugging my block when the time comes to change.
