63 Hood emblem question

63 Hood emblem question
I have a 63 Uni that my grandpa purchased new, so everything is orginal. While looking thru one of the truck catalogs I get, I noticed that the front hood emblem is wrong on my truck according to this catalog. My truck has the gear/lighting bolt style emblem which the book says is for 6cly. trucks, well my truck came with the 292 V8. Anyone else ever seen this on other trucks?

If I remember right the "V-8" style emblem didn't get used til 65 & 66. Somebody will chime in if that's not right, but that's what I've always been told.
61-64 all lightning bolts,
65/66 all 6 cyls. still got lighting bolts and V-8's got the "V-8".
How bout ya Pete??? Sound right?
