old fords rule

Ok so I was just at a parade with all sorts of floats and most of them were pulled by 2000 or newer dodges, chevy's and even a few fords. now I will admit that the newer vehicles have some plus's but all of them were saggin bad in the rear with little trailers with not much on them, one was almost ready to pull the front wheels off the ground, they were just pretty but not tough. but there was also a 66 custom f100 with a I6 pulling the same kind of float and barely saggin' at all in the back. thought that was awesome. ok thats it. it just made me happy to see the older truck kickin some A*#.

That's odd, most of the ones that I see used in NC and in the big holiday parades are 4 wheel wagons, that add no weight to the rear of the truck at all.

Makes ya wonder how they loaded them.
