I am wondering if this chapter has a leader?

No. The chapter needs to try to wrap up electing a leader within the next couple of weeks. We're ramping up new chapter features and it will require a leader. Not a tough job, nor time consuming, nor technical.

I suppose the nominees are lacking due to the lag in post of this chapter. Plus come on, we are in TN, not all have computers, just now getting used to Bell's little gizmo myself.

i agree, there is not a lot of posting action. I suppose this chapter will be closing after the new chapters are all set up.

This chapter needs a Leader by Monday December 6th/2004

"The Chapter Leader is responsible for seeking out new Chapter members on the FTE forums (we provide the tools for this), overseeing the organization of events, meetings and gatherings. Additionally, we encourage Chapter members to seek out new members at auto shows, fellow Ford owners in the work place and Ford truck owners you may encounter in your day-to-day life. You may even consider telling local dealerships or auto parts stores about your Chapter."

And:

"Chapter Leaders may not hold a similar position or title with a competitive venture, or otherwise have his position on FTE cause a conflict of interest. "

Umm... It doesn't look as if we got our Chapter Leader by December 6th.

Fellas, how should we go about this? I would definitely be interested in seeing this chapter prosper and grow. There is nothing better in my book than being with a bunch of friends, especially our special kin from Tennessee, and discussing what we love best... Our Ford's.

I think that we should all unite and become a strongly-bonded chapter.

Ken and Dennis, if the others show half an interest in having a Tennessee Chapter, how do we go about elections, meetings, greetings, etc. etc.?

Well,so far you have lucked out due to activity in the forum.

You MUST however, elect a chapter leader ASAP.

Here is a guide for general chapter info.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=296418

I would suggest looking in other forums to see what they have done.

The Chapter General discussion forum has info in it as well.

This chapter can't go on without a Chapter Leader.

Unless something is done to remedy this ,the chapter will be closed very soon.

Come on guys.

I don't want to move to TN and then find out the Chapter was closed.

I'm moving there regardless, but I'm sure alot of you would like to keep the Chapter going & have some meets.

Can it possibly be that thin here, Y'all???

When every where I look I see ole' Ford trucks in Tipton county runnin' strong, and lookin' good (I will admit - some kinda shabby....), but overall there's a hella lot FORD iron in these parts.

I THANK the message ain't gone out ever'where....
People don't know we are here, because they don't use the internet that way.
Let's tell them about it.

I AM HOME NOW.

I HAVE NO DOUBTS AT ALL

Although I have seen few answers yet -

The recruiting has not even begun.

Few people know of FTE yet, because the internet is still a new thing here.

In my own area - I can't even get DSL yet, much less cable.
But it is changing.... There are wide areas of the country where such conveniences have not even been heard of yet. The possibility has not even been publicized because the cables or satellite networks do not reach there yet.

~ But one day they will

RIGHT DOWN TO THE VERY LAST TRAILER

~ My Father once upon a time, used to take me for long rides in his old automobiles to the "Back Country" of California. Up into the hills, and out into the desert. It was the most beautiful time I can remember, because of the stars shining down like diamonds and other colorful jewels from above, and the sense of utter freedom...

All of us will live as we will, and where we will, but between those who come here I have seen a common bond.

We love FORD trucks.

And we do things together.

We need more folk here....

They sayin' we gonna be shut down, if we don't speak up....

I donno about you - but I tend to have a violent reaction to that. I don't want it to go that way.

I want to fight for this place, Y'know???
