Looks like I still need a pair of decent rear leaf spring shackles. Anybody got a rebuildable pair? I know my pins are bad, too, so I'm planning on buying the pin and bushing kit if you've got one of those hanging around.
Tonight is repair the air dams and lower valance night. By the end of the weekend I should have all the sheet metal except the cab stripped, repaired and primed with ZeroRust. Any hints on handling the interior repainting? The local guy wants $600 to dip it. Out of my budget. I know I'm going to have to replace the lower rear cab corners and the area under the dimmer switch.
I got mine from Bob Drake in southern Oregon.... do an internet search as he does have an web site. He also specializes in early Ford cars, but has a great selection of recast F100 parts (many original molds also and is a FoMoCo authorized dealer). Also just come out with a new fuel tank - I'm getting one!!
Scott,
You will come out better buying new ones for about $65 you can even get the extended ones to lower the rear a couple inches. If you are near charoltte, you can go to Dennis carpenter which is very close to the race track or NPD, there is another carpenter about 45 min from the race track.
