Speed Sensor Question Need Help Please

hi I hope this is the appropriate place for this so here it goes

1997 explorer 4wd 2dr

with the used SUV I have a few question I replaced all the brakes, rotors, and bleed the brakes but yet I am still having a problem with the brakes the problem is the brakes are not clamping and I can't perform a complete stop without the anit-lock going off, the brakes feel very spongy. I had the Anti-lock checked and it needs a new speed sensor I was wondering if anybody has any expirence in replacing them? I'm not to familar on how they work because I this my first ford that I have owned so it would much appreciated if anybody could help me out on this

I don't know if your Explorer is the same as my F350, but on my truck the speed sensor is in the rear axle housing and reads information magnetically from a 'tone ring' that is attatched to the ring gear inside the axle housing and rotates with the axles. It appears to be a simple remove and replace for the speed sensor.
