New Exhaust

Planning on getting my exhaust rebuilt for my 1970 Bronco. It has a rebuilt 302 V8. Was wondering if anyone has had this done and what they were charged. I plan to have the manifolds replaced with Hooker Headers and dual flowmaster 40 mufflers. Getting it done at a local speed shop. Was quoted around $1000. Any ideas?

I dont know about Hooker headers, but you can get Heddman headers (if you dont have a definate preference) for $140 for your Bronco through Jegs, and most of the local exhaust shops here only charge about $200 for most dual exhaust applications. So $1000 seems awful high to me. Just my .02 cents worth.

just curious why dont you do the easy work yourself and save some $$ bolting on headers is not that hard of a job once in a while its a pain but normally its easy. That would probably save you a few hundred bucks most shops dont charge much to do the pipes back i had exhaust done on my truck from the headers back and it was $350 i think.
