Check out Skyjacker. I tend to like them the best for TTB suspensions such as yours. Mustangs don't have radius arms. MustangGT221 is refering to his f150. Other companies that make extended rad arms include Superlift, Rancho, and Fabtech to name a few.
yeah its got a 6" lift on it with stock radius arms. I have actually snapped four of the radius arms. I dont know if its from the tires rubbing on them or what.
I have the skyjacker radius arms, and you won't snap a radius arm by the tires rubbing. The only time I ever bent a radius arm was in a car accident. You broke four? You are talking about the bar that goes from the suspension arm to a bracket on the frame almost under the door right? Since you have a lift, you can get them. I know what a radius arm is and I know that I broke four of them. There is a spot on the radius arm that is very shining therefore is from the tires rubbing in a certain spot when you turn. I am reall led to believe that when turning sharply the tires rub on the arms and weaken the radius arm. I have no idea what else it could possibly be. Do you have stock radius arm mounts or are they the drop ones with the extended radius arms. Also do you have stock radius arm bushings. I heard those were the best because they allowed a lot more flexibilty then the aftermarket ones.
Unless you're running carbide-tipped tread on your tires, the rubbing won't damage the actual arm itself. All it's going to do is keep that one spot nice and shiny-clean.
i've got extended radius arms on my truck, just check out my gallery. i got mine from AIM industries, they help out with stability, but still rub a little bit.
I have the skyjacker extended radius arms with poly bushings that came with my lift kit. Mine still rub, it's almost inevitable w/ wide tires. It doesn't weaken the arm at all, its just rubber rubbing metal...how does that weaken it? All it does is rub the paint off.
