Hello, From my understanding on the D/B conversion, the wheels I think will need to be updated due to caliper clearance issues with original wheels. As to the I Beams, etc, I am most positive its a direct bolt in....the only area I am vague on is the steering box....does your 66 have a P/S box in it now or Manual box? also, which engine....6 or 8 cyl.
Im sure others will chime in on this as its a popular change....BTW, is your kingpins okay or not....my 66 1/2 ton is in need of a bit of help in that dept.
no every thing is manual no power anything and it has a 6 cyl for now but is gettin a rebullt 429 later down the road after some more work gets done
as for the kingpins they are in great shape.

Paul, Everything is a boltup exchange. You may need to use the drivers side engine perch if the donor has a 360 or I6 like your truck to keep the head of the steering gear from hitting.
'74 is an acceptable donor. Do some searching on here for the power steering as there are a lot of things to consider when it comes to the steering columns as the shaft length is different.
The disc brake swap is addressed here on my web site.
