Can you get stainless tips?
I love the sound of a flowmaster, but the reason I haven't put one on my new truck is because it came with stainless exhaust. When I had a flowmaster put on my last truck w/ chrome tips, the darn tips were rusted after 6 months. And in the Chicago area, where roads are salted in the winter, chrome tips don't last long.
Does anybody know if Stainless tips can be used, and where I could find them? I don't want to spend $600 for teh Borla stainless exhaust!

Stainless tips can be used.Thats all I put on all my cars and trucks,And I have a lot.I stoped using chrome parts a lond time ago.I live in South Carolina,we use no salt,and crome will still rust.If you like the bright luster of crome like I do,you should make sure you get polished stainless.I have seen some chromed aluminum tips,but I don't know how they'll hold up to the heat.Your local muffler shop, should be able to get you some.You can also order them.Summit Racing has a number of sizes 2-4 inch outlet,8 to 18 inches long.Slant cut or straight cut with rolled edges.There prices rang from $19.95 to $43.95.Check there website out.Summitracing.com.Hope this helps!
