giganitc steering wheels

I was considering getting one of those new Grant or GT steering wheels. One of the cheap ones like 20$ that are 14inches. Would this be better for handling? Well i went out and measured mine and was surprised that it was 17 inches wide! Seems like they made bigger S. wheels back in the day. Any one know of any bigger ones??

The steering wheel on my 48 F1 measures 18". Makes up for no power steering - those mini s/wheels mandate it!

The older trucks needed a bigger wheel to give more leverage without power steering. All the little wheel will do is require less travel to make a turn. The smaller the diamater of the wheel the quicker you can turn it. It could make it feel like there is less play in your steering. I personally like the big wheel for it makes the truck and it makes it easier to turn. I drove a 55 pickup with a little wheel and without power steering you need every bit of stregnth to drive it. Hope this helps
