After we lost Tim I thought that was it. I didn't figure on becoming part of his family. You all have accepted all of us into your family.
I knew Tim and many of us were close but until his memorial I didn't realize that we, the KS chapter members, where so important to Tim. In the memorial we were recognized many times. Heck...when we walked in the door the guys asked us if we were from the Ford Club. We were even asked to speak. That meant alot to me and I'm sure to everyone else.
I was truely honored to be part of the Montage. I saw the pic of me from the back and it brought a tear to my eye. You guys could have photoshoped it to make my melon head smaller but...LOL.
Everytime I see you guys I know where Tim got his personality from. Everyone of you have hints of Tim in you. That goes to show how close a family can be even living all over the country.
Thank you for accepting me and us just as Tim did. Thank you for being a critical part of our chapter.
Gene, I could not have said it any better than Jon just did. Tim, to me was and still does hold a special place in my heart. I apprecieate that your family has allowed that feeling to stay alive in Tims absense.
I would like to start out by saying that you guys are the greatest for letting me be a part of your family. Tim has a special place in all our lives and in our hearts. He thought the world of you guys and talked all the time about everything you did and were planning to do. Fordtoberfest was something that he was looking forward to doing again and we talked for hours on ways to make it better. I look forward to many years of friendship with my new family (Kansas Chapter) and growing and prospering to make everyone as happy as I am right now.
Thanks for everything
GENE
PS The book you guys gave us that you put together about Tim was taken to Texoma for all his friends down there to see. It was very emotional to watch everyone take there turn and relive the great memories.
Gene i know i havent posted on this subject alot in the past but i believe i can speak for all of us, that we really enjoy havin ya a part of this big family. You and your family are welcome here anytime and we're glad you stop by. I hope that i get to see ya at Fordtoberfest. Anyways glad to see ya again and i m happy to see you won down in Texas!!
Gene, Thanks for letting us be part of your family and thanks for being part of ours. Great job in Texas and will be looking forward to seeing you at Fordtoberfest.
Gene,
Im glad the book went to Texoma, I just wish I would have had more time to put it together, the book is a very very small picture of what Tim was all about, and in fact I dont think there is a book big enough to hold all the memories of Tim and what he meant to us in the short time we knew him.
Tim and Fordtoberfest went together hand in hand, his help will surely be missed, and it wont be the same without him, but in his honor the Fordtoberfest show will go on.
My thought for the Tim Feldhans memorial award is this: award goes to a chapter member that displays the same kind of un-dying love for Ford trucks, and helping people unconditionally without asking anything in return.
And Gene...congrats on the Wins at Texoma!!! good job!!!
