The surveyers have surveyed my property. Now, I wait to have the drawings done for the variance I'm asking for, from the county zoning board, on my garage. I think I will call electric contractors next week, for quotes.

On top of that, I'm jonzen to work on my Rallycross car. Which is in storage because of the county zoning board. I can't work on the car while in storage. Darn storage place contract. I will eventually get over to the storage place to fix the starter but I have to remove the turbo to get to the starter. What they don't know, won't hurt them.

I'll see you at the next meeting (I hope)
Eric

That sounds like an excellent idea. I've never thought of that.. may get the visio out and see what I come up with. Also, what are you using as a rally car? I have been wanting to get into rally for a while now.. I have a fairly built 95 escort thats waiting on a turbo 323 gt motor. Id like to do the entire GTX drive train but I dont think Im ready to deal with all that at the moment. Here are a couple of pics. There is alot of work still to do on this beast.
has: coilovers, new larger anti-sway bars and a few more goodies.

Right now, I'm mostly into RallyCross. Same as Autox but on unpaved surfaces. Plus it's doesn't have a bunch of different classes like Autox.

I have a 86 Dodge Omni GLH turbo. It was an Ex-Pro Rally car from 86-93. So that means it has been beaten to death, the underbody shows the most wear and tear. To be a rally car again it needs a brand new cage or at least update the one in it. Alot of stuff has to be done to put this GLHt to put it back on the stages. I've been thinking of getting a different shell to race in then I don't have to redo the underbody. Right now, the GLHt isn't running and it's at a storage place.
Yesterday at a Rallycross near Eaton OH, I used my daily driver (small, slow jap AWD car).

Good luck finding that GTX drivetrain. They're getting scarce. Is your Escort lowered?

Yes it is lowered. I have ground control coilovers on it with I think 4 other spring sets I have bought. Also has supsension techniques antisway bars.

The reason I ask that question is because lowered cars are not recommended for RallyCross. You can pay me the fees and run the course but i can't say that you won't rip your exhaust off or damage your front bumper. Lowered cars tend to dive and pitch a lot on RallyCross courses from the lack of suspension travel. You probably knew that but I had to say it. In the past the Mazda born Escort was a Production Class championship winner, don't remember the year(s).

This may sound strange but sway bars are not your friend in Rally or Rallycross. The reason is you need as much drive tire on the course to get good traction. I'm not saying remove the sway bars, the factory ones will do. The more tire surface you put on gravel, or any unpaved surface, the more grip you get. Just like any offroad truck or Sprint car. And you know the more grip you get, the faster you go.

If you have anymore questions email me.
