read somewhere recently that the HWY MPG rating for new vehicles is conducted at between 45 to 48 miles per hour. don't know about them, but normal folks tend to drive a bit faster than that on the highway.
i've done the same evaluation that some above have done - checking the mpg at different speed, and i get the best gas mileage around 55 mph. the mpg's drop off after that, however it picks back up a bit at about 73 mph.
either way, 14mpg, at the price gas is now, is hard to live with.
Thanks for all your info.....IT sounds like I need to put a few more miles on the old girl before I get to concerned about it.. IT really sucks putting $50 worth of gas in when I fill up..Price I will pay to drive such a sweet truck.!!!! ( I Guess)
FYI......My wife and I just got back from Las Vegas Tuesday night, May 4th. The "regular" gas there was going for between $2.05 and $2.09 during our 6 day stay.
