Bedrock, for 01 the off road package did not include the Rancho shocks or the 3.73 LS. The Ranchos came about when they started the FX4 package.

I just got an '01 "Off Road" 150 myself and I just happened to come across the cudirect.com website that lists the following details for the Off Road equipment group:

3.55 axle ratio
(5) P265/70R17 all-terrain OWL tires
(4) 17" cast aluminum wheels
"Off-Road 4x4" decal
fuel tank/transfer case/frame front cross-member skid plates
HD shock absorbers

I admit, the truck I'm looking up is my supercab, not a supercrew, but I imagine there wouldn't be a difference...

Now if I could only find the local mud track to try out all this trick-ness.....

Hi RST1000 and welcome to the forums
Yes, the OFFROAD package is the same on all versions of the 2001 trucks.
17" wheels and tires, skid plates, and heavy duty (stiffer) shocks. I have one myself and I love it. Mine is a SuperCab too.

My truck is a regular 4X4 with tow package. It does not have the "off road" package but has the same things listed for the "off road" package except the 17" wheels and tires and decal. It has the 3.55 LS rear end, skid plates and heavy duty shocks.

How much extra do you pay for the decal and 17" wheels?

Sounds like you got a good deal on the truck. The question I posed was in general terms, not to you in specific.

I bought mine a year ago for $20,500 with 26,400 miles on it. It was a lease return at a local dealer. I have been very pleased with it. The skid plates and stuff do add extra weight and hamper performance a little, but with all of the power lost thru the transfer case and the added weight of the front axle, the skid plates really don't hurt much. But the sticker does look better than just the regular old 4x4 by itself

Both you guys got good deals but I bought mine last year for $13,500 with 15,000 miles on it. My Dad sold it to me, that's why I got it for such a good price. It's a 1999 but it looks brand new.

Don't suppose your dad's looking for a son to adopt, is he??
I guess I can't complain, though; I just recently saved several thousand on a motorcycle I bought through a "going out of business" type sale so I guess that balances things out.

I have a 40 series 2 chamber Flowmaster on mine with dual rear exit tailpipes. I really like the sound. It has a nice rumble, but isn't too loud due to it having 4 cat converters on it.
