Now that I have your attention -- If you could have any two parts reproduced for the 73-79 100/350, what would they be? I'm not talking about parts you can easily buy, from Ford or that are already reproductions. I want to know which parts are most wanted -- and next to impossible to find.
Headliners in original factory colors- I can only find the perforated in a "paint to match"
Seatbelts that match the originals- Again only able to find the lap belts and they don't resemble the original style
Dash pads- Not the "cover up the old dash" style
Please disregard the dash pad. I stand corrected. Blue oval parts has lots of bed parts including entire inner/outersides as a whole piece. Not cheap though. Just add a .com to the end of their name. hope that helps for the beds.
I would take a supercab cab!! Would that be sweet to get a brand new FORD cab. You could undercoat the you know what out of it in the spot's where they rust, it would last for 30 years Just the shell and next would be the race trace moulding
Brake proportioning valves are still available from Ford--I just bought one About 3 weeks ago... Bill....
Hmmm, called two dealers and they told me they couldn't get them anymore. The one is usually good at finding the older part that Ford still offers, I'll have to call them back and have them try again.
Part # is D5TZ-2B257-B. I was surprised when Ford said it's still available. Pricey, though- $103. with tax. This is for a '79 F250 4x4, but I really don't think there's any difference, leastwise, I hope not. I want to swap in a booster and master cylinder from an F350 2WD, and I don't want to waste the valve..... Bill....
