Cat-less....

I know of few of you are running with no Cat, and I’d like to know what you’ve done with the downstream (after cat) o2 sensor. I’m running a completely dual exhaust (no crossover yet) with 2.5” pipe, with three chamber Flowmasters… I have no cats, and am contemplating whether to put them in or not. The sound of the true duals is nice to my ear, a tad loud but a crossover will help that.

I can fool the rear o2 into always switching slower than the two main ones, or even no switching at all, or can get one of those o2 foolers… just wondering what experience you’ve had.

Just so you know, this V10 is in a 1948 F1, I started it for the first time on Friday, and wow is it great! What a smooth running motor! I hope to take more pictures soon for my gallery. At the moment the cab is off, and everything is wired up. So many wires everywhere!

Also… I’d like to thank ya’ll for all of the great information on this form. I am a very quiet reader of this form, I’ve not been “qualified” to answer any posts yet due to lack of experience with the trucks you have, and am still learning about this motor.

Thank you,

Scott

My truck doesn't have a "after cat" sensor. Just one in each head pipe. Did the truck you grabbed the V10 from have one?

No after cat sensor here either. Dont know about the newer models, but I dont think any of the '99 or '00 V-10s have them.

wow thats strange, the PCM from the 2000 f250 V10 donor (trans and computer) seems to have an input for a third 02 sensor labled as a downstream o2 sensor. Sadly I didnt see the vehicle, nor would have known what to look for at the time. I am wondering...

Is there any V10 with a 02 Sensor after the CAT... or a V10 with three o2 Sensors?

Ford sold me a (downstream - rear) o2 sensor on saturday!

Hmmmmm.....

Thanks for your help.

Scott

Leave it alone. The gains added by true duals/cats is next to nothing. Not worth the $$. Use that money for a header kit.
