oil coolers
Does anybody make a thermostatically controlled oil-air oil cooler? I swear I've seen one of these before so you're not running cold oil through the cooler before your engine heats up. Also, would an oil-coolant heat exchanger like big trucks and diesels use be better? Was there ever a factory oil cooler on an fe or ft engine?

I have seen a therm controlled valve for routing oil to the cooler...try Hayden I think. I have an oil temp gauge on my '66 with 428 and never saw any more than 200* oil temp even pulling in the summer. So I haven't looked into the engine oil coolers.
