Most of the folks here, including me, use the TYMAR filter. If you want info about where to get it just e-mail me. If I post it here it might get censored

Hi guys so where do I get a TYMAR for the E350? There is almost no spare room under the hood. Thanks

Rip out that factory air box, unplug the sensor first and just lay it on the fender and get you the Tymar intake $142.00 shipped to my house with an extra filter. Or build one yourself. I also ran a 4 inch line from the grille to beside the filter to provide cooler outside air to it, just don't point it right at the filter.
Lowered my egts about 100 degrees pulling heavy load.

Hi PSDJOE and JOHNDIESEL. I phoned Dale at Tymar, and he does not have a filter for the E350 van with a 7.3 PSD. With the E350 there is almost no room under the hood. I cannot reach in to touch the glow plug relay, or anything else. You guys are lucky with your big engine compartments. So I am still open to suggestions. Thanks

Is it possible for you to post a picture of the airbox and filter? I have no idea where it is or what it looks like on the E series van. I'm not sure in your case if the filter that the Tymar uses will fit. Here's a pic of it:
