Lightbulb M5OD Shifter Sloppy (92' 4.0l Explorer manual Trans)

I felt something "pop" while shifting 1992 Explorer and then the shifter had bad side to side play. Did i bust a bushing or mess something? How do I fix this and what do I need? I have been searching the web everywhere... but am coming up blank, I need some help!
Thanks in advance, :-P

I fixed it...
FYI to those who may have this prob someday... it's an EZ job. The shifter rotates on a ball and socket with 2 side pins in slots for stability. The bottom nylon bushing cracked and fell into the shift box (in a safe spot... I hope???) and the top one then carried all the leverage and also broke. The side pins are pressed into the cast aluminum cover ($250 part) so removal is a trick. You can get one pin free if you work at it (I picked passenger side) then the whole assembly can be made with a top bushing used on the bottom... use a wobbled spacer/washer in between the spacer ring (takes up slack) and you assemble the top the same... the Ford part sales should have a diagram for you... and all I need was another retainer, a washer and 2 bushings... all fixed and seems good. To keep the pin I removed from working back out I welded a blob on the big keeper ring and it should work... if you don't have a welder, you could just jamb something in there... it doesn't get a lot of force outward. All the parts are less than $15...
Keeping my fingers crossed... but it should work. Any questions, just ask... I'll check back for a week or so.
