umm....axles?

was wondering if anyone could tell me how to find out what axles are on my 1979 Bronco. I belive the front if a Dana44 and the rear is a 9" but not sure anyone can help?

Should be 44/9", unless someone swapped axles over the years. Your front axle should be stamped with a 44 on the top of the housing, most factory Dana axles are. The 9" will be a non-integral housing. Meaning it has a third member; no removeable differential cover in the back, no bolts in back. The gears remove from the front of the rear axle. That might be the easiest way to explain it.
