MicroTuner
Just completed a one month trip to Florida from Chicago, plus all the Florida in-town driving. Total of 2400 miles highway, plus 950 miles in town. THE MICRO TUNER A MUST !!!!!!
1999 E350 PSD Super Van, pulled a car hauler about 5,000 lbs. down and back. Unbelievable difference from stock. Take off with the extra 110 ft. lbs of torque from a stop kept up with all the surrounding traffic. Without trailer, was ahead of 90% of the traffic. Noticed some very surprised side glances.
Prior, had about 11-12 hills in Alabama where trans. would downshift while in cruise. Now, only two.
There was an overall 1/2 MPG highway loss in mileage, but picked up about 1/2 MPG in city driving.
The program downloaded was the 60-110 because of towing recommendations. Extremely pleased. Jim

On the topic of the Microtuner...
I'm running it on my '02 F350 7.3
I run the factory only if it's going to the dealership
I run the towing only when I'm really towing. My experience is the towing code is very "stiff" and quick shifting, great for trailering but not so good for daily driving.
I want to run the off road program for daily driving. Is this OK? It does have more power etc... but it seems "looser" than the trailer towing code. Moves out from traffic lights easier and shifts sooner or better than the towing code.
I don't have an EGT. If I'm not laying into it, only daily driving, is that a problem?
