Just read this old posting, JDL, D? 350watt?, your stock speakers are prob. better.
Throw those things away and buy some real speakers, expect to pay an absolute minimum of $125.00 a pair for acceptable speakers, other wise you are better off with stock.

They have the best speaker prices I could find, and trust me I looked.

Three of us who should have known better had that exact problem last year after installing Infinity mains in a Ranger.. after taking the door panels all the way back off, we found each speaker had a set of leads for full range and a set on the other 'end' that would only run the tweeters. We beat all odds and managed to hook up all four that way without noticing that setup.
I searched those JDL speakers and they were all over ebay for WAY too cheap to complain about the sound. I'd look for the Infinity reference series if I were you. $99 a pair and hard to touch the sound quality.
And I've been forced to buy a pair at a time back in the day, too.. I say replace the fronts first, because that's where you pump most of the sound. the only reason you should think of bass in the rear is because that's where you have to hide most bass boxes. (you don't go to a concert and face the back either, I assume)
But that's just my .04 cents worth
