Seat differences.

Here we go!

I decided I'm getting a CC/SB for my next truck. Then I realized the CC seats are integral headrest, the SC ones have a real headrest. I'm tall and like the adjust able headrest. Why do they do this to me? Any suggestions, seat options from other trucks to get adjustable headrest?

Chris

You can get the 40/20/40 integrated restraints witht he adjustable headhest, or you can get the 40/20/40 non-integrated restraints with the big center console and no adjustable headrests. I have an 01 supercrew and so does my friend, his is an automatic 4x2 with the non-integrated and I have a manual 4x4 with the integrated, from the looks of it to get the room to maneuver the stick with the cntr console down you have to have the integrated because the center console is shorter and the stick goes almost to the seat.

Look in my profile for a picure of the integrated if you need it.

I think it's an option you'll have to ask your dealer, My window sticker says 40/20/40 integrated. Maybe its just a package option with the lariat. Or maybe all manuals come with the integrated. Need more people to compare.

you have a super cab, and 01 was a changover year for the SIR (seat integrated restraints). The F150 was the same way.

I have a CC/SB with the integral head rests for front seats (captain's chairs) and the adjustable (seperate) headrests for the rear seats (bench). I am 5'7" on a good day and it is just perfect for me. Usually I have the seat straigh up so my head is a little higher. If you place your seat at a slight angle or lazy boy configuration like my dad you can probably be around 6'-6'2" beefore your head passes the head rest and hits your neck. Best bet is to goto a dealer and check on out.

I was surprised since these seats resemble the seats from when teh F150 first came out. I liked the newer F150 seats.

Yeah, I can see plenty of them right now. I could swear I had seen it another way and just wanted input from here. I don't understand why they would do that.

I'm 6'6" and the integral headrests aren't really tall enough. I really liked the non integral ones, as the same seat was used in the f150 from 2001 to 2003 w and without integrated seatbelts.

Just make sure you don't get the seats with the "who the heck is the dumba$$ that designed these seats" power adjustable bottom only! Yes, my 01 F350 has 1/2 of a power seat, from the factory! When you adjust up/down, just the bottom moves, and not the back, so when you go up, the high back gets shorter! But, the whole thing goes forward and back on power! WTF! Anyway, my thought is, if you are going to pay for power seats, make sure you get a full power seat!

THats a good point. Several vehicles are like this. I think its the ones with the integral restraints mostly, but it doesn't make much sense either.

hahaha my first F150 seat was like that. Only the tilt and forward and back was powered. The lumbar and recline were lever or **** adjusted. Probably another cost cutting feature to get some executive an award and promotion.
