I can't pass smog... Help!!

emission problems
My last van was an 85.I tuned it once a year, and passed without trouble until one year I put in that brand of wires. I flunked too. I brought it to Ford, and they put on original wires. The van passed the emission test after that with no problem.
Just relating something I learned the hard way. I'm not sure but I think autolite is a division of allied signal, and Ford's brand is motorcraft.
It was a long time ago but I remember thinking autolite was Ford's brand myself.
