project questions
First question is anyone know how much horsepower a 69' 390 has? then i am doing a project by placing that 390 into a 83' f-150 replacing the 351w, I heard that will not work, but i am going to see even though i might have to modify certain things so my question is ...what are all the things i will need to replace or modify to make this work or should i do this at all?

a 69 390 2 barrell had 270hp, the 69 car 4 barrell had about 300hp, and 63unibody it doesnt matter what the 390 came from, the mounts are still the same, you will certainly have to change motor mounts, transmition, maybe even tranny mount, and other odds and ends under the hood, good luck.
