My Marine step-son is heading back to Irag on Tues. We were looking for him to come home in July, now he's headed back to Iraq. Just asking for a prayer.
Im not a religious person, but if its ok by you id like to just keep good thoughts for him and each of our brave men and women serving our great country.May each and every one of em return safe and real soon!
Let him know that we all appreciate what he and his fellow marines are doing. He is in my prayers....let's also pray that ALL of our millitary personnel come home soon and safely.
Wow! What a small world. I knew your son's old battalion commander (LtCol Mundy and, executive officer (Maj Wurtman) and his battalion's S-3 officer (LtCol Nugent). I'll pray for him. He is in a great unit.
I pray everyday for our military & write it in my Church's "Book of Intentions" each week. Now, I'll add his name specifically if that's ok with you. Then the whole parish can pray for him at every Mass!
God Bless him & all our brave military persons! Please - tell him I said THANK YOU! Also, thank you to you as well for being supportive of him. I appreciate your sacrifices also.
Does he know where he will be deployed yet ?
Even though in some cases they are not supposed to tell... it's ok in others...
My nephew (My sisters youngest boy of 3) is in the Naxy, but was assigned to a marine detachment in Al Asad - I BELIEVE on the outskirts of Fallujah...
so many prayers are said regularlly from our camp !
He DOES respond to email sometimes, so he must be serving in a hospital settings instead of the field...
This is okladrop you got mines and I will tell you that being a SGM in the Army for 25yrs now, we have the best young people in the wrold like your son, that cares about the team an has a lot of selfless service to give like the rest of our son's and daughter's, and the Leadership on the ground in the boots back there know what to do.
I have been over there 3 times and will be goning back, and I will also say that we are making things better he will look back on this and tell his war stories to his grandkids some day, my wife MRS okladrop was over there back in 1991 and she is doing well, now that she has retired w/21yrs.
Your son will be fine just keep the mail and careboxs going to him, its funny I say that, I'm 43yrs old and have 25yrs in now w/ 5yrs to go and my dear mom still sends me careboxs and mail everywhere I go.
You be strong for him because he will feed off of that!!!
