If you all remember I had that 360 that would start off with 75 psi oil pressure, and would drop to zero going down the road. Well after a new mechanical guage and a new oil pump {had a M57-Hv} before and running 20-50 now instead of 10-30 she starts up at 100psi , runs 85psi going down the road and idling runs 35-40psi. I feel special, now all I gots to do is stop thse header leaks Btw thanks for all the advice yall' gave me, it seemed to work.
I think it's all the oil pump. I'd change back to 10w30 and see what it does, those pressures seem rather high. You dont want to blow any main seals and have a leaker.
i think i mis-worded that, let me re-try i meant it is 85 after it warms up a lil and about 55-60 going down the road, i gets excited and screw stuff up i may need to be smacked every once in awhile to keep me inline
Good to hear there's not a problem. Lots of us (especially me) learned most of it the hard way. Only glad to pass my hard earned knowledge on if I can.
