285/70R17s on a XLT 4x4?

Anyone know if you can fit 285s under an XLT (without the wheel well lips) 4x4 without putting the leveling kit on?

I have 285s on my truck and no problems. I do have the 2.5" Daystar kit though.

They should fit fine for daily driving and mild 4wheeling. They just look so much better closer to level...I am not sure why anyone would not want to lift the front at least a few inches.

Take Care,
