I'm not looking for a buy back, but if my dealer and or FMC can't fix my truck then so be it. My dealer is suposed to call me when DR can check out truck and try his hand at
geting it fixed.
I have had the same problems as most-bad injector #2 rough idle etc. all fixed but braking.
Just talked to FMC rep he is to call me back on monday. Will let everyone know what happens.
Maybe just maybe FMC will fix all our trucks that have no engine or tranny braking.
Don't hold your breath!!
Anyone know why the 04 Econoline 6.0/Torqueshift has no T/H mode? It only has the ordinary O/D cancellation button. This is the first year of this eng/trans in the E series. Considering the limitations of this trans application and the engine output of only 215hp & 440lbft torque the option price of $4800 seems hefty.

I always thought that was the same thing. They just renamed it. Is that true?
Not at all the same thing. The O/D cancellation only does that--prevents trans from shifting into overdrive. The tow/haul mode in the torque shift trans allows all shifts but at higher rpms for same throttle pressure, plus it allows for engine braking by downshifting on decelereation and somehow works in conjunction with the brakes. Don't know too much about it siince I don't have one, maybe someone else can chime in. Hope this helps some.
I just got back from a 370 mile round trip to the Texas Gulf Coast and back pulling my boat. Boat, trailer and "stuff" weigs about 2000#. I see no difference between tow/haul mode in 4th and 5th gear above 45 mph and not being in tow/haul mode. In tow/haul mode doing 65, take my foot off the accelerator and tach goes to 1000 rpm or so. I hit the brakes lightly or stand on them there is no difference until 45 mph then it aggressively gears down and the TC locks up the the RPM jumps up and uses the engine for braking.
If it is doing something in 4th or 5th gear in tow/haul mode above 45 mph, I don't know what it is.

what really gets my grits going the wrong direction, is that the dealership never told me what were the downside of a flash. I got the Oct flash because it was supposed to fix an intermittent, really rare, idle issue. No one said anything about pilot injection removal, etc. Same with the Dec flash. If someone would have said something about the downside, I never would have had it done.
