I just crawled under our expy the other night, and noticed not one, but two mufflers. One is right under about the 2nd row or so, about 2' long maybe... and the second is in about 10" or so from the tip of the exhaust.... can anyone explain what/why the reasoning is for this?
I think the end of the big muffler might be starting to deteriorate, it is really black at one spot, like a small hole might be developing.... if it is, the pipes seem to be in decent shape i was thinking of just putting a flowmaster on it and adding a piece of pipe to connect it to the rest of the exhaust....
The one close to the rear is a resonator. It helps the muffler to quiet the exhaust noise. You can do away with it if you want but the exhaust will be alittle louder. The little hole you see on the muffler is probably the one that allows the moisture in the exhaust to leak out. It is suspose to be there.
