I got a guy who just popped in the 4.2 forum and swears he has a
V6 STX. Huh??

The STX, from I know, only comes in a V8...for one.
Two, I thought that no '04 came equipped with a V6 yet.

Does anyone know if this guy knows what motor he's got? Can the STX really come in a 4.2V6??

One of my co-workers bought an 04 STX and he said the only engine availble in the STX's are the 4.6L V8's. (He wanted a 5.4L STX, but no can do.)

 

The guy that just popped into your forum was most likely a 12 year old.

Or it was a Heritage (old body style) 2004

 

Heritage doesn't have an STX.

Maybe he bought a used 2000 or 2001 STX with a 4.2L just now, in 2004. I guess a shrewd saleman could easily fool most 12 year olds.

 

The new 2004 F-150 only comes with V-8s. The 2004 Heritage F-150 still comes with the 4.2L V-6. So regardless of what year he has, he does not have the new-for 2004 truck.

 

No such thing as a 2004 F-150 equipped with a V6. Plain and simple.
