electrical connectors
Can anyone reccomend a source for connectors to use in rewiring my 56? Looking for permanent as well as the type that can be disconnected as needed. Thanks in advance

Most of the aftermarket wiring kits come with crimp type connectors that can be purchased at any good hardware store or Lowes, Home Depot, etc. If you don't have a good crimping tool be sure to purchase a good one, like Klein or such. The connectors come in a variety of sizes and configurations for permanent and disconnect situations. You will probably need the blue connectors for most of your wiring. You may also want to solder the important ones like at the battery or starter and then use the shrink cover over them. Good luck.

And don't ever solder wires before crimping them, or clamping them under screws. It looks neat, but the solder flows under pressure, and the connection will loosen in time.
I second the vote for the Klein crimp tool, specifically the 1005 or 1006 type.
