due to surgery,ineed to plce an automatic behind my 223 f100.is there some ford pass cars i could hunt for donor c4,shaft, and poss pwr steering?my holl exch does not go back far enuf to help me. if you have any suggestion please send,trucks been in family since new and would hate not being able to use it any longer.I got it from grandfathers farm in 69. I don't know if this helps or not but I have a previously manual shift 60 f100 and it was converted to automatic with the engine and tranny from 82 mustang 3.0 5.0L.
If I can believe the parts book, you want a Fordomatic with a "PAD 7975-D" "transmission converter housing" to mate it with the 223. Best approach would be to locate a donor car or truck with everything; for trucks, latest would be '64; cars, probably 1960.
