How would you go about mounting a spare tire carrier to a Bronco II that originally did not have one. My son's 89 does not have a spare tire carrier but we had a wrecked Bronco II we bought for parts that did. He is wanting to put the spare tire carrier on his. I know on the bottom mount I can go through the tail light opening and put a backing plate there to give it the added strenght. But what would be the best way to do the top mount?

sorry i cant help you with the carrier you have, but you can get one from James Duff that replaces the bumper and has the carrier built right on. looks a lot easier to mount. forgot price though.
