92 4x4 switch
My 92 Explorer 4x4 switch will not activate the transfer case. I've checked the switch and it reads low voltage to the wire that sends power back to the electronic shift control module. This low voltage is virtually nonexistent on the same wire that plugs into the module but I can send 12 volts through it when I bypass the switch. Has anyone else experienced 4x4 engagement problems caused by an electrical failure?

The likely problem is the "shift motor". You can clean and lube these yourself if you want to save money. I did mine. Just search back a little. Every other day someone posts with the same question.
