Question 67 F250 4X4 Power steering conversion

I have searched for threads on a 2wd power steering unit being put onto a
4X4 and found some pic's and some brief instructions in heep70 and gdavis2265 galleries.
I could use some help.

I have a 67 F250 4X4 and a 73 F250 4X2 donor.

Thanks

Here is the article from Glenn Davis. It worked great for me and was simple. Email me if you have and questions. I have a few pics also.

Thumbs up

Thank you so much 4x4Subaru. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I have all the tools to do the job, just could not find the info to do it.
I'm also going to try and put the power brake setup on th 67 high boy.

Check out this gallery, https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...90&albumid=8701
this is the kit found on Ebay installed on "76hiboy" ford F-250. I also have this kit on my truck also. I know the most important part is locating the gear box correctly. Maybe this will help. Good luck

I did the power brake thing also. That was even easier.

You have a very nice truck. Keep it stock if possible.

460EFIhighboy, I saw that item on ebay, "WE" don't want to spend the $900 if you know what I mean. Thanks for the info though, " I " would have liked to have that bolt on power steering unit.

In my case, I did not want to spend the money in time to "create" a conversion. Plus I needed a steering shaft and pump which was supplied in the kit. When I added up the costs each way, I realized the kit would save me about $500 or more in saved time installing and sourcing parts. Not to mention it was all new stuff and had a warrantee which is what I wanted.
I do understand the $$ part. Just was trying to help as I am very happy with my kit. Take care, 460EFIhighboy
