99 Expy Mach System

I have a 99 Expy with the Mach system in it and it does a decent job..

I am wondering if anyone has replaced the Mach speakers with aftermarket (something like Infinity with a high efficency rating)? What were the results? Did you still end up wanting to replace the factory amps?

I read about someone replacing the factory sub and not the amp... Found that one with an spl of 87 was poor but changing it to one with an spl of 92db was great.. Makes me think the factory sub amp is very underpowered for aftermarket woofs..

I ripped out everything out of my 99 expy... new Boston Acoustics 6.5" components in the front, BA 5x7s in the rear, JL Audio stealth box (replaces factory sub), 5-channel Alpine Amp (90x4, 300x1 for sub) and a Pioneer HU and in-dash changer. $3400 later I loved it!
