Cwater,
Please post if you ever find a solution to this. I drive to SoCal a few times a year to visit family and those freeways are killing me. I also have a crewcab longbed so it probably has something to do with the wheelbase and the tires hitting the expansion joints at just the right time. I swear it felt like my rear was actually bouncing in the air sometimes when passing Palm Springs on I-10. I know it is not the tires because I've had it pegged on I-10 in AZ where the highway is asphalt, so it is a SoCal freeway thing.
Shall do... I know that it is extremely bad anywhere within the L.A. area ( I-5, I-405, Hwy 14, I-605, I-710, I-105, I-60, I-210 are a few of the bad ones), and between like 55 & 85... If I peg it at 95, the truck rides extremely smooth wherever I go, even in the bad spots... That's what the guy at one Ford dealership told me, is that it has to do with the rebound of the suspension and the wheelbase combination... I will definately keep everyone updated!
I drive the same stretch of 405 by the Los Al weapons depot everyday (110 in South Central, 405 through the west side, etc.) and have the same deal. Just a bad stretch of road. In Cozumel they call that a Mexican Massage.

57 & 91 would put you around the north side of Santa Ana / South side of Anaheim... I live in Torrance near Torrance high school, or better known as Beverly Hills 90210 High School!
I wouldn't mind driving out there.... We should hook something up!
