how to remove bed metal
My 79 f250 has a 4x8 metal pan in the bed. What is the easiest way to remove? I believe this pan is attached to adjacent metal. I want to remove and replace w/o damaging other metal.

I would try an air operated cut-off tool on the welds, the ones with the hard fiberglass disks about two inches in diameter. Depending how happy the welder got when he was doing his thing, you could have a difficult time. A gas welder may have to be used.

I would use like huntsman said air cut off tool w/2"x .035 or 1/16 thick wheel or I also use my 41/2 electric grinder with the same thickness wheels. How thick is it? Is it the original floor pan or is it plate that someone welded in over th orig?
