Question lost throttle response

having problems with something kindof like a stall but still running. my check engine light came on and i lost throttle response, for a brief moment but then it came back. Just last week i switched to useing diesel 2 "thank god" and i t doesnt seem to be doing it as much, i tried catching it with a code reader, but its not finding anything, ive replaced the fuel filter and pump, but nothing.
i read an earlier thread abou the injector o-rings , could that be it?, the truck has 182,231 miles on it, im baffled

Sounds like a CMP sensor. Did you have tach movement when it happened? If not, probably the CMP.

The CMP Sensor is the CaMshaft Position Sensor. Here's some info on part #, where to get, where it is, and how to change it:

I downloaded the graphic a couple of years ago. I can't remember where I got it from.

lost throttle response?

I had the same problem with my 99 psd 4x4. Turned out to be the throttle position sensor on the gas pedal. Unfortunatly the sensor is not replacable so you must replace the pedal assembly. $135.00 at your local ford dealer and 5 minutes of your time.

Where is the Cam positioning sensor? Front or back of the motor? Does it get dirty and just need cleaning sometimes? Thanks.
